Restore Balance. Relieve Pain. Renew Your Body.

Therapeutic massage therapy is more than relaxation — it is a powerful, hands-on treatment designed to reduce pain, improve mobility, relieve stress, and support your body’s natural healing process.

Whether you’re managing chronic tension, recovering from training, or simply needing time to reset, our treatments are tailored to your individual needs.

Therapeutic Massage is a targeted treatment that focuses on the mobilisation of soft tissues, including muscles, fascia, and body fluids, to restore normal systemic, biomechanical, and functional movement within the body.

It is commonly used to assist in the treatment of musculoskeletal and related conditions such as muscle tension, joint stiffness, postural imbalances, and stress-related discomfort. By improving circulation, supporting lymphatic drainage, and stimulating healthy neurological function, therapeutic massage promotes healing, reduces pain, and enhances overall physical performance.

Regular treatments can help maintain flexibility, prevent injury, improve recovery time, and support the body’s natural ability to restore balance and wellbeing.

Your first session is focused on understanding your body and your specific needs.

1. Initial Consultation

We begin with a consultation where we discuss your medical history, lifestyle, current concerns, pain areas, injuries, and your goals for treatment. This helps ensure your massage is safe, effective, and tailored specifically to you.

2. Assessment

If needed, posture, movement patterns, and areas of restriction may be assessed to identify tension, imbalances, or dysfunction contributing to discomfort.

3. Personalised Treatment

I will then perform a customised therapeutic massage focusing on your areas of concern. Techniques may include deep tissue work, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, or gentle mobilisation depending on your needs and comfort level.

You will always be professionally draped, and only the area being treated will be exposed to ensure privacy and comfort.

4. Aftercare Advice

At the end of your session, you may receive feedback and simple aftercare recommendations such as stretches, hydration advice, or follow-up treatments to enhance your results.

Your first session is not just a massage — it’s the start of a personalised treatment plan designed to restore balance, reduce pain, and improve overall function.

  • Stay Hydrated

Drink plenty of water before your session. Proper hydration supports circulation and helps your body respond better to soft tissue work.

  • Avoid heavy meals

Try not to eat a large meal immediately before your appointment. A light meal or snack is fine, but being too full may make it uncomfortable to lie on the massage table.

  • Arrive a few minutes early

Arriving 5–10 minutes early allows you time to relax, complete any necessary forms, and discuss your goals or concerns with your therapist without feeling rushed.

  • Wear comfortable clothes

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to change in and out of. You will be professionally draped during your treatment to ensure privacy and comfort.

  • Communicate openly

Let your therapist know about: Any injuries or medical conditions, Areas of pain or sensitivity, Your preferred pressure level, Any recent treatments or surgeries. Clear communication ensures your session is both safe and effective.
